Projects

We have had several projects initiated by local boy scout and girl scout troops. The Girl Scouts built beautiful platform tents in the woods that our campers can use for overnight camping and educational programs. The permanent platforms ensure the campers will always have a place to experience nature and sit among the trees.

Several Boy Scouts have completed Eagle Scout projects at Camp Still Meadows. They include a blueberry hut, a pumpkin patch, a light system for the riding ring, and the beginnings of a water feature for the healing gardens. The blueberry hut and pumpkin patch provide additional resources that enhance the diversity of our gardens. The light system for the riding ring will allow us to extend our therapeutic riding program to offer lessons during Fall months without fear of sunset impeding our process. The water feature is a new component that will enhance the beauty and functionality of our healing gardens.

These projects foster a reciprocal relationship between Camp Still Meadows and our local community youth organizations. They are a way for these scouts to give back to their communities and they provide meaningful benefits for all those who participate in camp activities.
