Tim Mowbray

Tim Moubray – President
Tim is a 1989 graduate of JMU with a BS in Sports Management and Recreation. He worked as a Recreation Therapist at Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center from 1989-95. He now works as a Recreation Specialist for Harrisonburg Department of Parks and Recreation (1995-Present). He has been on the board for 10+ years and has served as President for many years. Tim is also President of the Mid-Atlantic Wheelchair Athletic Association. He is married with three wonderful step-daughters.

 

 

Frank W. Wilkins

Frank W. Wilkins - Vice President
Frank W. Wilkins has been a member of the Board of Directors for Camp Still Meadows since 2007. Frank regularly attends Woods Chapel Church in New Market, and occasionally teaches Sunday School for the Deaf Ministry. He founded the “Joining of Hands” Homecoming for the Deaf in 2007. In his spare time, Frank is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys God’s creations.

 

 

 

Mary Ellen Chewning

Mary Ellen Chewning – Treasurer
Mary Ellen is the Executive Director of The Arc of Harrisonburg and Rockingham. She has a Masters of Education degree from James Madison University and taught in the elementary grades for 31 years. She and her husband, Brad, have a son with Down syndrome. Mary Ellen has been an integral part of Camp Still Meadows since its inception in 1997.

James Carter

James Carter  - Assistant Treasurer/Secretary
James moved to the US in 2005 from England. He currently works in the Division of Advancement at James Madison University and also runs ParentBaby.com with his wife Angela. James has been involved with CSM since 2006, firstly with the production of the tree house appeal advert and more recently by organizing and participating in the last two Division of Advancement Annual Volunteer Days at CSM.  James was asked to join the board in July of 2008. He lives in Harrisonburg with his wife and two daughters.

Caitlin MacRae

Caitlin MacRae - Grants Coordinator
Caitlin graduated from James Madison University in 2004 with a Bachelor’s degree in English and in 2006 with a Master’s degree in Technical and Scientific Communication. She works for the research and development branch of Rosetta Stone. Caitlin has been volunteering with Camp Still Meadows since 2003. She teaches therapeutic horseback riding lessons, writes grant proposals, maintains the website, and performs a variety of other duties.  She lives in Broadway.

 

 

 

 

Jodie Anderson

Jodie Anderson  
Jodie and her husband own Signs USA in Harrisonburg, Va.  Jodie is a former speech therapist and teacher for the hearing impaired.  For the past three years, she has coordinated the crafts for the summer camp sessions at Camp Still Meadows.  She enjoys crafts, antiques, and trips in their RV.

 

 

 

 

 

Beth Chenault

Beth Chenault  
Beth is a graduate of James Madison University (Madison College 1975) with a B.S. in Medical Technology. She served as a Microbiologist with the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland and a Scientific Reviewer with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration until returning to her native Harrisonburg. Beth believes in service to others and is a member of the Pilot Club of Harrisonburg whose focus is serving those with brain related disorders and disabilities and protecting children from brain related injuries. This avenue led to her interest and belief in the mission of Camp Still Meadows.

Jodi Haas

Jodi Haas

Jodi has worked for Costco Wholesale for the past 20 years. She transferred to Virginia when the Harrisonburg store was set to open and has enjoyed living and raising her children here. She comes to Camp Still Meadows by way of the Girl Scouts, she was the co leader of the troop which built the tent site as their Gold Award project. She has 2 grown children and lives in Bridgewater.

 

 

Don HoneycuttDon Honeycutt

Don was born in Bristol, TN in 1936. He finished his undergrad degree at East Tennessee State and received a 6-year degree from Southern Seminary in Theology and Counseling. He chose not to enter the church full-time, but carries out the gospel to one person at a time. He was a professional business manager for 36 years and is still managing Child Health Associates pediatric practice. His goal is to start the Agape Youth Ranch for at risk youth and a residential care facility for the elderly to live out their lives in dignity and peace. He has 3 children and 3 grandchildren. He loves kids, dogs, horses, RV camping, being a member of the Church of the Brethren, and celebrating each passing year with his loving wife, Maggie.

 

 

Kay Kibler

Kay has lived in the Broadway area for over 40 years. She is employed by Crossroads Counseling Center in Harrisonburg and Camp Horizons just east of Lacey Springs.  She has been working with individuals with disabilities for 10 years.  She has been a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary at Chimney Rock Post 9660 since 1999.  She is a member of Grace Mennonite Fellowship in Lacey Springs.  Kay is married to Sam Kibler and has two grown daughters.  She enjoys camping, spending time with family and friends and just staying busy!

 

 

 

Arlene Reid

Arlene was born and raised on a poultry and beef cattle farm in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She grew up in the Old Order Mennonite Church and presently is a memeber of Trissels Mennonite Church in Broadway. She has five siblings, including a younger sister with Downs Syndrome. Arlene and her husband, Glenn, own and operate Glenhaven Greenhouses in Broadway. She and Glenn are members of the Shenanadoah Valley Produce Auction, and the Shenandoah Valley Nursery and Greenhouses Association, She currently serves on the board of directors for the S.V.N.G.A. Arlene is a regular guest on "Your Green Thumb", a gardening demonstration on WHSV-TV3 in Harrisonburg, VA. She and Glenn have four children: two girls and twin boys, The family is active in 4-H; showing steers at the Rockingham County Fair, church and school activities, the local Soapbox Derby, and County recreation league football. Both daughters volunteer at Camp Still Meadows, in the theraputic horseback riding program and various summer day camp programs.

 

Jan Maasch

 

Janet Maasch - Executive Director
Janet is the founder of Camp Still Meadows and serves as the volunteer Executive Director.  She is involved with every facet of the camp and helps steer its development.  She is a retired registered nurse.  In addition to her work with the camp, she is a member of the Pilot Club of Harrisonburg and Pilot International, which focus on brain-related disorders and disabilities.
